Things I want my Daughters to Know....

Several years ago, my mom, sister & I went to St Simon Island in GA, my sisters friend has a place, It was nice & so much fun, at the house was this book called "Things I want my daughter to know" I wrote some of them down, I thought they were good. So I figure I will share one on here once in awhile, so here goes:

FIND WORK YOU LOVE THAT SUPPORTS YOU FINANCIALLY
To find out what one is fitted to do, and to secure an opportunity to do it, is the key to happiness.- John Dewey
The world does not owe you, you owe the world. Your work is your way of expressing yourself. Through your work you are giving back to the world a portion of what you have been given. Your reward come from the work itself. When you love your work, you don't need as much money because you are happy. When you don't love your work, you will tend to want more money because you are unfulfilled by your work. Don't work to make a living, work to make a life. As an adult finding work you love is your responsibility. You are here to develop your gifts and to share them with others in service.
"Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure, where your treasure , there is your heart, where your heart is, there is your happiness." St Augustine

I definately find this to be true. In my life I have had jobs that were "jobs" & then I had jobs that I really couldnt even call jobs because I loved it so much. That is how I feel now that I take care of Taylor. It is definately a joy....Im very BLESSED!!!!
