Trouble!!!!

I seem to be having trouble posting pictures to the blog. I will keep trying I have lots to share from Taylors 1st birthday party

Natalie & cute ornaments

Natalie has found a girl to do hair & make up for people for their photo sessions. So she practiced on Natalie

shhhh dont tell, I made these cute ornaments for my sister & her family...I still have to put some ribbon on them.. You can see they started out as the clear balls on the left side. I think they are pretty cute..I love when a project turns out sort of like I envisioned :) Cant wait for my mom & sister to get here tomorrow, so they can spend some time with Taylor & I.....

Craving God Day 9 "I could Never Give that up"

Thought for the Day: The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Galatians 5:22-23

Self control is hard. We dont like to deny ourselves. We dont think its necessary. We make ex cuss and declare, Thats nice for someone else, but I could never give up _______! (fill in the blank: soda, sugar, cupcakes, smoking...) (mine would be chocolate/sweets)

If we're relying on ourselves that excuse may be true. But there's another level to self-control that too few of us find. In Matthew 19:23-24 Jesus said I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of Heaven...it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. In other words Jesus was saying that its hard for people who are satisfied with the things of this world to deny themselves. It's hard for someone who is rich with excess to deny herself and be humble enough to admit, I must give this up. When the disciples heard this teaching, they were confused until Jesus clarified: With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (verse 26).

Maybe you have heard verse 26 spoken in the common context that God can make us healthy, wealthy and get us to a new breakthrough. We tend to think of it as saying, "With God all good things are possible! With God all lavish things are possible! But if you study this verse in the original context, it actually means, With man, it is impossible to deny yourself. With man, it is impossible to make sacrifices. With man, it is impossible to have self control. But with God, all self control is possible.

The author believes this one little shift in our thinking can make us feel empowered, instead of feeling denied. Rather than giving in to the foods we crave, we can heave God's self control to make a completely different decision, such as a decision for health...a decision for renewed energy.. a decision for confidence and peace. Most importantly, a decision that honors both our body & God!

I wanted to make it a little festive for Taylor since her party isnt until Saturday. I made a little party for her here

We have a tradition of giving the girls a dollar for every year in their birthdya cards,s o I saw this cute idea I think we will do for Taylor, put a dollar for every year in a balloon, not sure if you can see the dollar i the bottom ofthe white balloon

She pretty much ate the whole cupcake in a few minute. I dont think she needs any practice for Saturday.

Taylor Stuff

spent most of the day catching uop Taylors first year album so it would be ready for her birthdya party next weekend. Here isthe title page about how she got her name. I thought it turned out pretty good. Her album is done Woo Hoo

I monogrammed the tub we are putting Taylors birthday gifts in from us. I was so excited how it turned out, I think its so cool. Jess can use it to store toys in the play room, or lots of other ideas.
